Chef Loren Pulitzer/Meals That Heal & curator/producer Susan Caraballo will launch FEAST Miami (Funding Emerging Art with Sustainable Tactics), a meals-based micro-funding project, in 2014. FEAST Miami will be pop-up dinners at art venues to financially support new & emerging creative projects. Diners will give a minimum donation for dinner and the opportunity to fund an exciting art project. Artists & small arts organizations will be invited to present a simple proposal for an art project and diners will vote for the project to be funded. Projects should be innovative, community-based and feasible. Dinners will be held at various venues throughout South Florida. The meals will be healthfully prepared with organic and locally-sourced foods. Inspired by the food sustainability movement, FEAST will provide community-based sustainability for the arts.

FEAST Miami is inspired by F.E.A.S.T. Brooklyn organized by artists. FEAST Miami is supported by the John. S. and James L. Knight Foundation’s Knight Arts Challenge that funds ideas that help bring South Florida together through the arts.
